The only constant with social media is that it’s always changing, and recent changes announced and rolled out on Facebook and Instagram show us that Meta is still able to shake things up. What’s happening and why does it matter to business owners? Let’s explore.

Meta Business Suite: You Can Schedule Stories Now!

Facebook has recently launched a new content scheduler called the Meta Business Suite. This scheduler is designed to help businesses post content on Facebook more easily and efficiently. It includes features such as the ability to schedule posts in advance, create content calendars, and track engagement metrics. You can even schedule stories to auto-post on Instagram and Facebook from a single account.

Facebook Abandons Podcasts

That was quick! It feels like Facebook just launched the ability to publish and promote podcasts a mere year ago. We loved this feature because fans and followers could receive notifications when new podcast episodes dropped. Alas, Facebook announced they are abandoning this feature. We recommend going back to the way you promoted your podcasts before this feature was available. If you’re looking for tips, give us a shout!

Instagram Keeps Trying to Be TikTok

Earlier this week, we talked about Instagram launching a full-screen feature. They’re also offering Reels creators a chance to earn money from Meta for creating engaging content that people stick around to actually watch. Check for these invitations the next time to create a Reel.

Another new feature we noticed rolling out to some users is the ability to pin posts. Instagram is one of the few social networks that hasn’t had this feature, except for stories archives. TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook all allow for pinned posts, and now Instagram will as well. This isn’t available to everyone, so keep an eye out.

What Do You Think?

Overall, the social media landscape is constantly changing and businesses need to be prepared to adapt. By staying up-to-date on the latest news and changes, businesses can ensure that they are using social media to its full potential.
